Gear Set Storage is a feature that was added in the Season 1 Patch for New World. It allows players to quickly switch between different sets of gear and is highly customizable. What exactly is meant by "Gear Set Storage"The Gear Set Storage feature is a significant improvement to the overall Quality of Life in New World. Because of this feature, you will be able to assign individual pieces of gear or entire gear sets to specific inventory slots, making it easier to make quick swaps. The Gear that you put in this particular section of your Inventory will not cause any additional weight, allowing you to carry an unlimited number of sets without restriction. This also removes the item from your inventory, making it significantly more difficult to accidentally salvage items from gear sets. This also applies to consumables, Heartrunes, and even ammunition, making it possible to more easily switch between gear used for Skilling, PvE, or PvP combat and consumables. Instructions for Utilizing the Gear Set StorageWhen assigning gear from within your Inventory, you have the option of adding it to Gear Set Storage in one of three ways: directly from your inventory, directly from an existing Gear Set, or by importing a Gear Set.
I'll go into detail about each of these approaches in the following paragraphs. The Procedure for Assigning Equipment From InventoryYou have two choices available to you in your Inventory when it comes to assigning gear to a Gear Set Slot. You simply need to click and drag it from your inventory or your existing equipment to use it. Only one piece of gear will be moved to the Gear Set that this is being dragged to. You also have the option of using the context menu, which enables you to move a single gear piece to one set or all sets simultaneously. This is a great method for adding or removing pieces from gear sets, but it is a bit slower than importing gear when it comes to creating brand-new gear sets. Instructions on How to Assign or Remove Gear SetsThe same way you move items from your inventory, you can move pieces by clicking and dragging them or using the context menu. Once a gear piece has been added to a gear set, the only options available to you are to move it, copy it, or remove it from the set. This presents a significant difference from the previous situation.
When doing so from the context menu, you will have the same options as when doing so from the inventory
You can choose to add it to another individual gear set, all gear sets, or remove it from the set you are currently using
A button is included in every Gear Set that, when pressed, clears the Gear Set of all its equipment and consumables
How to Get a Gear Set ImportedBecause importing a gear set will take all of your equipped gear and place it into the desired Gear Set Slot, this is a great way to set up your initial gear sets
Importing a gear set can be found in the Gear menu
This can only add gear to Gear Sets; it cannot remove gear already present in the set
To accomplish this, locate the Import Icon in the upper right corner of the Gear Set Storage and click on it
You will be prompted for confirmation before carrying out this action, which will prevent any accidental overwrites
How to Obtain More Slots for Your Gear SetAside from the rewards that come with purchasing a Season Pass, the only other way to acquire additional Gear Set Slots is to buy them from the shop

This makes it much simpler to have two useful weapons, regardless of the boss or mutation mechanics, and eliminates the need to search through your inventory to find them. Following that is a quicker swap in PvP, which can alter the result of certain PvP content depending on how it is used.
Although some swaps will have significantly fewer possibilities due to attributes, you might be able to modify your attributes in such a way as to make others possible without having to respec. Although this is possible, it is restricted to characters with similar specifications. This patch also marked the beginning of the Season Pass System as well as the release of the first season.
