In the heart of the Mindoro highlands, the Buhid Mangyan communities continue to thrive in harmony with nature. But as the world progresses, access to basic necessities like electricity remains a distant dream for many of these remote villages. With your support, we aim to change that—one solar panel at a time.
The Need for Power
Without access to electricity, families rely on kerosene lamps and firewood for light and cooking, both of which pose health and safety risks. Children struggle to study at night, and essential tools like radios and mobile phones—which could provide vital information and connection—remain largely unusable. Electricity is more than a convenience; it's a gateway to education, safety, health, and opportunity.
Our Goal
We are raising funds to provide sustainable, solar-powered energy solutions to Buhid villages in Mindoro. This includes installing solar panel systems that can power lighting, charge basic devices, and even support small appliances essential for daily life. Each system is tailored to meet the needs of a household or community center, built with durability and ease of maintenance in mind.
Sustainable Impact
Solar energy is clean, renewable, and ideal for off-grid communities. Unlike temporary aid, this project ensures long-term access to electricity while preserving the natural environment. Our team works closely with local leaders to train community members on the use and upkeep of the systems, creating a sense of ownership and empowerment.
How You Can Help
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to lighting up another home. With ₱5,000 (about $90), we can provide a basic solar kit to a household. Larger contributions help us scale up to community-wide installations. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the purchase, transport, and installation of solar panels.
Let’s brighten their nights and empower their futures.
