Education has the power to change lives—but for many Buhid Mangyan children in the mountains of Mindoro, just getting to school is a daily challenge. With limited access to learning materials and no reliable transportation, many students are forced to walk hours each day, often barefoot, carrying little more than the will to learn.
The Barriers They Face
Most Buhid families live in remote areas, far from the nearest schools. Without proper supplies—like notebooks, pens, uniforms, and backpacks—children feel discouraged and out of place. Add to that the physical toll of long walks on rough terrain, and it’s easy to see why many are unable to stay in school consistently.
These aren’t just inconveniences—they’re barriers to a brighter future.
What This Campaign Supports
Our Yearly Fund for School Supplies and Transportation aims to provide:
Essential school supplies for every student: notebooks, writing tools, art materials, backpacks, uniforms, and rain gear.
Transportation assistance, such as bicycles, group rides, or transport stipends for students traveling long distances.
Logistics and delivery costs to ensure supplies safely reach the most remote areas.
With your help, we can reduce dropout rates, improve attendance, and create a more encouraging learning environment for Buhid youth.
Your Impact
₱1,500 (about $27) equips one child for an entire school year. A donation of ₱15,000 can support a group of 10 students, giving them not just materials, but hope. All funds go directly to supplies, transport coordination, and community outreach.
