Working principle of Centrifugal sludge separator

Precipitated sludge from sludge thickener is crushed by sludge cutter, transported by sludge feed pump, measured by electromagnetic flow meter, and mixed with prepared chemical solution sent from flocculant dosing system into Sludge dewatering centrifuge; sludge is formed into solid/liquid phase after Sludge dewatering centrifuge. The liquid phase (clarified liquid or separated liquid) is discharged directly or sent back to the sedimentation tank, while the solid phase (dewatered sludge) is discharged by the screw conveyor to the transport vehicle for shipment.

 

In the automatic flocculant dosing system, the powder flocculant is added from the hopper (material feeder) and added to the preparation tank by the automatic powder feeding device (the colloidal flocculant is directly added to the preparation tank by the metering pump); meanwhile, the tap water enters the preparation tank through the flow meter and is automatically prepared into a certain concentration (about 0.08-0.15%) of solution; the good solution of the preparation tank flows into the storage tank and is transported by the dosing screw pump. The solution from the preparation tank flows into the storage tank, is transported by the dosing screw pump, and after being measured by the electromagnetic flow meter, it is mixed with the sludge from the sludge thickening tank through the manifold (or static mixer) and the centrifugal force brought by the high-speed rotation of the centrifuge, so that the denser materials (solid phase) in the suspension entering the drum are settled and separated by the centrifugal force and the pressure of the centrifugal liquid, and enter the dewatering machine together for sludge dewatering.
