RAVENOUS DEAD OBJECTIVES AND STRATEGY

- In order for Olesia to be able to successfully complete her ritual, she needs to gather whole ghoul hearts from the area around her

- She has a sneaking suspicion that if she uses their hearts, she will be able to solve some kind of special mystery

- Given that they can reanimate themselves with only a small amount of blood, this gives her reason to believe that this is the case

- This is due to the fact that they have the ability to regenerate themselves whenever necessary

In order to get started with this walkthrough for the Ravenous Dead, the first thing you need to do is collect 0/15 Ghoul Hearts. You should look in the direction that is directly to the northeast of Yelesna if you are trying to locate a sizable region that has the color blue assigned to it. While you are in this region, you will notice that the main map and the minimap both have dots of a red color on them. These dots can be found on both of your maps. These dots pinpoint the locations of enemy factions and groups. If you leave Yelesna via the northern road, you will encounter all of the ghoul hearts that are traveling in this direction. You will have to fight them off. It is not necessary to leave the town by way of the eastern road and then travel south of the city in order to get to a larger region in the surrounding area. You can avoid all of that by simply heading south of the city.

If you have accepted the optional quest Traveler's Prayer, you will also notice a small area marked by a circle in the top-left corner of the map. If you have not yet finished the quest, you will not be able to access this area. As you make your way north toward the shrine, you will be working along the western edge of the blue circle. Your journey will take you along this route. Because there are so many targets so close to one another, you will begin to notice that the area is filled with red dots well before you even enter it. This is because there are so many targets in close proximity to one another.

Ghoul Hearts can only be dropped by Ghouls that are part of a group that is denoted by a red dot. Individual Ghouls cannot drop Ghoul Hearts.

As soon as you begin to kill them, you will notice that they have already passed away and are lying on the ground nearby in one of several different locations. You will need to amass a total of 15 of these before the quest can be considered complete. If you leave an area but you have left a Ghoul Heart on the ground (like the map shown here), you will see a large blue diamond indicating that a quest item has been left behind. This happens if you leave an area but you have left a Ghoul Heart on the ground. If you leave a location while still possessing a Ghoul Heart, you will be confronted with this consequence. Only if you have not yet compiled all of your Ghoul Hearts into a single collection will you experience this issue.

The next thing that needs to be done is to discuss the situation with Olesia. You are strongly encouraged to make your way back to Yelesna and engage in conversation with Olesia once you get there. Once she has confirmed that she is in possession of the Ghoul Hearts that you gave her, she will then hand over the reward that was promised to you.

It is possible to Receive Instruction and Direction. This place talks about the dead who are ravenous. Because both of these items can be found in the same location, completing this task with the help of the Traveler's Prayer is the method that will save you the most time. It is not worth wasting a significant amount of time hunting ghouls outside of the small area that was mentioned in the sentence that came before this one. There are not very many of them outside of that area. At any given time of day or night, there is almost always at least one group of ghouls stationed directly next to the Travelers Shrine. This is true regardless of the time of day. It is also possible to carry out these steps in reverse order, first making your way to the Shrine and then retracing your steps back to the town after you have finished there.

Objects of Satisfaction for the Unquenchable DeadIn addition to the gold and experience that are in direct proportion to your level, you will also receive +20 Fractured Peaks Renown once you have finished the Ravenous Dead quest.
